Measures aimed at women employment - POR Puglia 2014-2020

Action 8.7

Measures aimed at women employment

Within the framework of RA 8.2, and of the aforementioned Line 8.7, the following actions have been indicatively selected, among those indicated in the Partnership Agreement:

Action: 8. 2. 2 Active policy measures for integration and reintegration into the labour market, with particular reference to the sectors offering the greatest potential for growth (e. g. in the context of: green economy, blue economy, personal services, social and health services, enhancement of the cultural heritage, ICT, etc. ), and to the sectors offering the greatest potential for growth (e.g. in the context of: green economy, blue economy, personal services, social and health services, enhancement of the cultural heritage, ICT, etc. ).

Action: 8.2.3 Incentives to hire and other active policy initiatives to enter the labour market on situations of national importance in conjunction with the regions concerned

Action: 8.2.5 Supporting pathways (accompanying services and/or incentives) to business creation and self-employment, including the transfer of undertaking (generational turnover)

Examples of activities to be carried out will concern active employment policies such as internships, work experience, training courses aimed at reducing the number of inactive persons, or to promote reintegration for the unemployed, incentives to hire. Inclusion pathways could also be promoted for women at a disadvantage in accessing the labour market and in conditions of social fragility. The aim of these labour policies is to promote women's participation in the labour market, especially in sectors where women are underrepresented. The Region intends to invest both in the creation of training paths for qualification/requalification, and in the creation of offering incentives for hiring.

The active employment policies that will be promoted are consistent with the regional strategy that aims to promote work/training experiences as part of routes aimed at strengthening the supply of services in the area, which may affect different targets of citizens. It will therefore aim to operate in an integrated manner, favouring synergies between several investment priorities of Axis 8 (beyond the present, for example, 8. i, 8. ii) and Axis 9.

Specific actions in support of female entrepreneurship will be financed, with the same logic as those provided for in Pl8i, namely focusing on training and skills upgrading, with priority being given to areas of greatest economic sustainability, innovation process and product, on social innovation and services to citizens, in line with the Smart Puglia 2020 Strategy.

Indicative type of beneficiaries: Region, Companies, Training Organizations, Patronage, Bilateral Bodies, Public Bodies and Private Bodies.
